We send you our greetings and best wishes this holiday season, and hope you and your loved ones are well and safe. 2021, like 2020, was another historic year, as we continue to deal with the COVID pandemic and the challenges that it brings. We celebrated (quietly) the 30th anniversary of Carter & Tani in January 2021- a real milestone. If it would have been another time, you would have been invited to an anniversary celebration.
We are grateful that we have been able to adjust how we practice and implement available technologies so that we can continue to serve our clients throughout this challenging time. We are grateful to our associates Alissa and Ben who have enthusiastically embraced the practice of franchise law and are providing us invaluable support, and to Gretchen who has provided invaluable coordination by staying full time in the office while we work remotely on a part-time basis.
We acknowledge with gratitude and appreciation our relationships with our valued clients and business associates who have made it possible for the firm to reach this milestone anniversary and to look forward to many more years to come. We continue this year with the tradition of making charitable contributions during the holiday season in your honor.
We have made a contribution to Mercy Homes in Costa Rica for building materials. We had hoped to sponsor a Carter & Tani trip to Costa Rica in March 2022 to build homes with this organization for those in need, but will have to postpone that trip due to travel restrictions during the pandemic. We have also purchased a goat, a sheep and a pig through Heifer Project International which will be used to provide families around the world with increased access to medicine, school, food and a sustainable livelihood.
We recognize how fortunate we are to have plenty of food and a warm place to come home to each night. For that reason, we have made donations on a local level to The Outreach House which provides food, clothing, baby items and emergency assistance to those in need and the Disciples Food Pantry, a small local food pantry.
It is our hope that our donations bring honor to you as well as bring hope to the persons who receive assistance through these organizations. Best wishes for a happy holiday season and for a prosperous and safe new year for us all.
